- Narcissists HATE being alone. They practically NEED company all the time. And they’ll pester you relentlessly for attention.
- Strangely, once they have this company, they often act like you’re not there. Or like they don’t need you.
- They’re SUPER nice to people they don’t know well. But treat their “nearest and dearest” with contempt.
- They hog conversations. Narcissists like to do ALL the talking. And they like to talk about themselves and how great they are. When you talk, they either ignore you, or quickly change the subject back to themselves.
- When they’re familiar with you, narcissists often give subtle put downs and digs. If you react, they either claim they were joking, or that you’re too sensitive.
- Narcissists HATE it when you’re ill. They sometimes act like you’re making it up. Or they deliberately antagonise you whilst you’re feeling under the weather. Only THEY should be ill and need attention. You should be well, so you can serve their needs.
- Narcissists are usually late. And act like they’ve done nothing wrong. But they HATE it when you’re late!
- Narcissists are never wrong. They’ll argue till they’re blue in the face, rather than admit they’re wrong. Even when the facts are clearly against them.
- Narcissists also deny any wrong doings. Even in the face of overwhelming evidence. “I didn’t order porn on my credit card. Someone must have stolen my details.”
- Narcissist males in particular like to walk ahead of you. It’s a display of dominance.
