My mission is to educate and validate narcissistic abuse.
I was raised by one narcissist parent, and one who wasn’t. So from an early age, narcissist behaviours were normalised to me.
This led to me having several narcissist friends throughout the years. And several narcissist relationships. One of which I married.
My life was literally full of narcissists! But I had no idea.
I studied law and criminology at Glamorgan University. Which gave me an introduction to narcissism and dark personalities. Soon after I worked in the mental health field for 14 years. Working with people with schizophrenia and…you’ve guessed it, personality disorders.
Despite this, I didn’t know I had narcissists in my life, until I started reading about narcissism online. And the more I read, the more “aha moments” I had. And the penny finally dropped.
Even though I’d worked with people with NPD for many years, I didn’t twig that there were so many in my private life. Because living with narcissists shows a different side to working with them.
In this blog I combine my experiences of studying, knowing, and working with narcissists.
My mission is to educate as many people as possible about how narcissists think and operate. because the more knowledge that’s out there, the less power they have. And the more likely it is they’ll seek help. Because their maladapted behaviours will no longer work.
