I Love You
When a narcissist tells you they love you, they may be saying it to love bomb. Or they may actually believe it. But either way, their lack of empathy prevents them from truly loving you.
When a narcissist says they love you, they actually mean they love what you do for them.
They love that you’re attractive, because it makes them look good. They love that you cook and clean for them. They love that you listen to their problems, and laugh at their jokes. And they love free sex!
We’re Soul Mates
A narcissist may say you’re soul mates. And you have an otherworldly connection. But you’re not the first person they’ve said this to. And you won’t be the last.
What they actually mean is “I own you. So I dub you my soul mate for eternity. Because that’s how long I own you for”.
Lets Get Married
This may seem like a romantic gesture. But it actually means, “It’s illegal to lock you in my cellar, and I don’t want jail time. So marriage is the next best thing. Lets get married!”
There’s Something Different About You
“That’s what I tell everyone. But it seems to work like a charm.”
My Ex Was A Psycho
This actually means THEY mistreated their ex. And now they must smear them so that no one believes them.
You’ve Changed
“You’re growing and can see through me. Revert back to when you were easier to fool. I preferred you that way”
You’re Crazy
“You’ve sussed me, so I must make you question your sense of reality”.
