Yes, the Police definitely got a rough ride ride during the pandemic. They’re certainly not all narcissists, but they are overrepresented. Personality tests would help reduce this.

Mindless sheep here! Perhaps it’s because of having worked in the health sector. I’m morbidly afraid of getting sick. Because of the corona virus, I’ve been feeling for the police who have to enforce the rules such as wearing a mask and keeping their distance, especially when I read a news article where a member of the public spat on a police officer. If I’d been in his shoes, I would have been tempted to tasered him!

Many situations seem to be a stand off. And even if the Police are wrong, they don’t budge, because they need to “win” and maintain their control. But please don’t think that all Police are narcissists. Because there are many good Police out there too!

Covid seemed like a field day for narcissists in general. They seemed to swing to the extremes of both ends of the argument. Some were saying that everyone should be vaccinated, whether they like it or not. And others were saying you’re a mindless sheep if you get the vaccine. But the one thing that tied them all together was that they all thought they were 100% right, and that everybody should do what they say!

Yes Phillip I saw the video with Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie. My first gut reaction was that Brian Launrie had convinced her she had OCD, and would wind her up by treading muddy boots into the van. And probably wound her up in many other ways. He then stayed calm when the Police arrived, making her look like the irrational one. I wasn’t sure whether the Police had misread the situation, or were deliberately enabling him. But you’d hope that they’d be trained to at least consider the possibility he was an abuser. Especially when he was telling them that she was crazy.
